Start on your own doorstep

THE credit crunch means many people fear for their jobs at the moment.

Shop owners are no exception, but it doesn’t appear to stop lots of people moaning about the centre of Wokingham.

Why doesn’t everyone just support it?

In Bracknell, Adams and Marks and Spencer are going to shut. In Wokingham and Bracknell, Woolworths has already gone.

So bearing in mind that big shops are already closing, it’s even more important to support the local shops… isn’t it?

But all people ever seem to do is moan about the place. There are lots of empty shops, I agree, but there are also brilliant places to go.

The shop owners and workers are always really, really friendly and they must be feeling the pinch too.

Surely it’s high time people just stopped complaining and started actually helping the shops get through the crunch.
